Pensacola

Well, we had a wonderful trip to Pensacola where Sophia met her Babikows for the first time. The weather was very nice and mild for our Greater Gulfcoast Arts Festival outing. It was really crowded, but fun to see all the artwork.
We had dinner at Skopelos where Sophia got lots of attention, particularly from her second cousins who were enamoured with her tiny features and funny looks, and of course her burps and pukes (apparently they are very funny and gross).

Sophia thoroughly enjoyed being held all the time by her Nonna; Darby occasionally got jealous, but when Sophia cried she got very concerned. Sophia has also perfected the pouty lip -- it had its grand debut in Pensacola. Also since our trip to Pensacola Sophia has become more and more vocal. She loves to talk and have conversations with us, smiling her sweet smile.

Things have been going well in the Schultz household since we got back. We tried to help Sophia learn to sleep at night by driving at night on the way down to Pensacola, but it didn't really alter her pattern. That said, things have been improving at night; she is less squirmy and sleeps sooner, so that is a definite blessing! Also, she seems to be getting better and better with her reflux problem -- we are so thankful!

We are also anticipating a fabulous trip to Lexington, Massachusetts, for Thanksgiving. Sophia can't wait to visit her family and meet Uncle Dan! The flight will probably be a bit challenging, but we'll get through it! We are just excited for Turkey Day at Pa-Pa and Ne-Ne's!
