Woodstock, Vermont

Sophia has been quite the little walker for over a month now, so we knew that before heading up to Massachusetts and Vermont a couple weeks ago we'd have to buy her a good pair of shoes that she could fit her fat little feet into. That turned out to be a great idea since she spent a lot of her time walking around the beautiful lobby at the Woodstock Inn while her Ne-Ne, Pa-Pa, Uncle Peter, Uncle Dan, Mommy and Daddy all took turns following her around and guiding her around people and stairs.

While in Vermont we relaxed, napped with Sophia, walked around the small town of Woodstock, visited a farm, and ate delicious food. It was very quaint and beautiful. Sophia did remarkably well at the restaurants and with her sleeping schedule.

She is nearly a year now. We can't believe it. She looks so much like a little girl; it's absolutely amazing. She loves to giggle and will often walk around and laugh a little, waiting to be tickled or chased. She now can stand up in the middle of the floor all on her own and is really a pro with the walking -- she likes to do laps around the dinner table. She is very inquisitive and, given the chance, will pull every item out of Mommy's purse and examine it. She can sign "eat", "drink", "all done", and "more". Once she got the walking down, she had no qualms about signing to us; she was just way to focused on mobility before.

Here we are visiting Chik-fil-a dressed up as cows to get our free meals on Cow Appreciation Day!
