Just a couple days ago Matt and I had a wonderful, albeit short, outing. It was so nice to get out of the house. First at the beginning of the day we had a stroll around our apartment complex. The weather was beautiful and fresh feeling -- we are on the cusp of fall here! Then a bit later we gave Sophia a nice, warm bath like a big girl! She sat in her little tub and really enjoyed the warm washing, which was so encouraging for me since she wasn't wailing and making the very sad face with quivering lip that melts my heart. We had a nice time together (although she was a bit cold when we took her out). After her bath we all went to Old Navy together in search of some one-pieces for Sophia, and she was so content and quiet and puke-less! It was a wonderful day.

Cobalt wanted to go along for the ride -- here he is in the stroller basket ...maybe another day.

Yesterday we all went to Children's Hospital for Sophia's upper GI track test. Matt and I watched a screen that showed the x-ray of Sophia eating; the barium went down her esophagus and filled her stomach, and then of course came back up the esophagus. But she is just fine -- there is nothing wrong anatomically -- she simply suffers from reflux. Tonight we get to try adding rice cereal to her formula and pumped breast milk, which is meant to weigh it down and help her to keep it down. Apparently it could take a week before it begins to make a difference, but we are very hopeful!
